I’ve never done a TTT post, but one of my goals for 2020 was to complete one a month so here we go! 🎉
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I’ve been trying to be better at not buying too many books, but I also joined the Book of the Month YA club, so many of my recent additions are from there!
Now onto my 10 most recent additions to my bookshelf…
1) Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibañez
I saw this book on BOTM, and I fell in love with the cover! The plot sounds fascinating, and I can’t wait to read this story!
2) A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
This book has gotten so much hype, and I finally read it after receiving it for Christmas. I loved it and immediately purchased the sequel so I can know what happens next!
3) A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
The sequel…it just came in the mail yesterday! *squeals with excitement!
4) Hearts, Strings, and Other Breakable Things by Jacqueline Firkins
This is another BOTM pick that just looked like a sweet, light-hearted read which was completely what I was craving when I saw this cute book.
5) To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
I read this first book a few years ago, but I didn’t get around to reading the second two. Now, I’m on the third book and I love these sweet, hilarious books so much!
—Technically I got the box set of this trilogy (for $6 😱), but I’m only photographing the 1st book!
6) With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo
This is another BOTM choice that I picked purely because I absolutely adore the cover- although I also love that this book discusses teenage pregnancy, taking chances, and overcoming your fears. I’m about 150 pages into this book and I’m loving it!
7) The Good Luck Charm by Helena Hunting
I bought this book on sale because I mistook the author for another author. This book was a fine read, but it wasn’t for me.
8) Fireborne by Rosaria Munda
I loved this book so much! It has been a while since my last really good fantasy book, and this story was exactly what I needed to get back into fantasy and dragons!
9) The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez
I wasn’t planning on buying this book, but my audiobook from the library cancelled while I was in the middle of the book. I just couldn’t wait in the 9 week waitlist, so I purchased it and really enjoyed the story!
10) The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White
This book was interesting because I enjoyed the premise, but I felt the execution was a little slow and anti-climactic for my taste. It was still a fascinating read though!
There are my recent book purchases/ gifts. Have you read any of these? If so, what did you think?
What are your recent book hauls? Link to your TTT posts in the comments so I can check them out! 🙃
