Hello everyone! Happy 10 year birthday to TTT! 🎉🎈Today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt is a choice between redoing an old prompt or completing a prompt that you missed. I’ve decided to put my own spin on the prompt Spring 2020 To-Read List and focus on my TBR for the rest of Pride Month!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
My plans for this month shifted because I got incredibly inspired to read a ton about the Black Lives Matter Movement as well as focus on reading books by own voices BIPOC authors. I have loved learning about others’ points of view, but I have decided to focus the rest of the month on celebrating Pride Month. I’m going to try to read a number of LGBTQ+ books by POC, and I’m excited to see what I think of all these books!
The LGBTQ+ community has been dragged through a lot of awful stuff recently, and my heart goes out to everyone being impacted by harmful media and court rulings. I would love to be an advocate for this community, and I’m hoping to hear about people’s stories through these books and my social media platforms.
Without further ado, my LGBTQ+ TBR for the rest of Pride Month…
LGBTQ+ TBR

- The Gravity of Us
- The Henna Wars
- The Poet X
- The Falling in Love Montage

- Let’s Talk About Love
- Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
- The Fascinators
- You Should See Me in a Crown (I would love to read this book, and hopefully I can get my hands on a copy! 🙃)
Thanks for reading! Feel free to link to your TTT in the comments! I would love to hear from you!
Please share your favorite LGBTQ+ books- especially if they’re own voices novels by POC ❤️
Happy Tuesday and I hope you’re all staying safe!
Stay Strong and Change the World.

The Fascinators and The Falling In Love Montage is on my TBR too! I read You Should See Me In A Crown last week and can confirm that that’s an amazing book. I really loved Simon vs too.

Fun! I hope you enjoy them! Yeah, I really want to read You Should See and in a Crown, but there’s a 6 month wait time to get it from the library 😪. Yes! I’ve never read Simon vs, and I’m not really sure why so I’m going to fix that! Thanks for stopping by! ❤️

You did a wonderful job with this post, and I’m saying that as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. 🙂
